  Fuji-Xerox® 20, IBM® InfoPrint® 20

Info Tech Specs Products Tech Docs Engine Compatibility

Reference Info
The Fuji-Xerox® P880 engine was first introduced in the Apple® LaserWriter® 8500 laser printer in August 1997. The first Adobe® Postscript 3 laser printer, the LaserWriter 8500 offered wide-format, full bleed printing and a 20 ppm engine speed.

In April 1998, IBM® introduced the Infoprint® 20, the company's first workgroup printer with the Infoprint branding. The Infoprint 20 was based on the same Fuji-Xerox P880 engine but offered new paper handling features, two new print resolution modes, and new software and controller features.

The all-in-one cartridge design is typical Fuji-Xerox, and is similar to the Xerox® DocuPrint® N32. Its microfine toner is magnetic, mono-component, with a weight of 640 grams and an OEM page yield of 14,000 pages at 5% coverage. The cartridge is mechanically easy to remanufacture, separating into hopper and waste bin sections. These sections are held together with two cartridge pins.
