There are many myths about compatible cartridges. Do you know what is true or not? Take a look at these 5 compatible cartridges myths we hear about all the time.

  1. Compatible cartridges are remanufactured cartridges
Compatible cartridges are not remanufactured cartridges. Compatible cartridges are brand new products, manufactured from A to Z. Remanufactured cartridges are refurbished cartridges to be used again. All the worn parts will be replaced and the toner will be refilled.
  1. Compatible cartridges print less pages than OEM cartridges
No! Our compatible cartridges are tested to meet or exceed the page yield of OEM cartridges. This is done through rigorous testing that also measures print performance in various environmental conditions. In addition, our compatible cartridges accurately report the number of pages remaining in the cartridges, so you’ll always know where you stand.
  1. OEM cartridges are of superior quality than compatible cartridges
Our compatible cartridges provide the same quality as the OEM cartridges for a fraction of the price. Static Control has a vertically integrated operation that helps maintain costs and provides faster turnarounds while keeping a close eye on quality assurance.
  1. Compatible cartridges will damage my customer’s printer
Our compatible cartridges will not damage your customer’s printer. They are warranted not to damage the printhead or printing mechanism when stored, installed and used in accordance with the product manufacturer’s or the printer manufacturer’s recommended procedures.
  1. Using compatible cartridges will void my customer’s warranty
Using compatible cartridges does not void a printer’s warranty. By law, no printer OEM can take away a user’s right to use the cartridge of their choice. A printer manufacturer cannot stipulate what brand of cartridge to use. Some service technicians may not understand this, so make sure your customers are not misled!
