Product Overview Static Control engineers have developed two smartek chips to give remanufactures more options with the HP4500. Sometimes remanufacturers need a chip solution without replacing the drum. Though SCC engineers recommend the optimal solution of replacing the drum and chip at the same time because they are designed to work as a unit, SCC now provides a stand-alone chip. This chip has been designed to work with the sensitivity of the average OEM drum. Our engineers tested a variety of drums and set the sensitivy of our chip to work within this range.
