Lexmark® E321/E323
Product Overview SCC’s new universal replacement chip for use in Lexmark® 320/322 and 321/323 printers plus their related brands (IBM® 116, Unisys® UDS 122 and Lexmark® E220, IBM® 1312, Unisys® UDS 123, Dellâ„¢ 1500 and Source Technologies® 9216) allows remanufacturers to purchase and stock just one chip for multiple applications. This chip works in all worldwide regions. In addition, SCC’s universal chip: Allows 6k yield in Lexmark E220 printer Requires no corner cutting or strip cutting and can be used with any encoder wheel When using the L5CHIP for the Lexmark® E320/322, IBM® Infoprint® 1116, Unisys® UDS 122 or Nashuatec® 6216 the following applies: When remanufacturing the IBM Return (Prebate) cartridges the SCC chip (L5CHIP) WILL NOT give toner low indication. This is due to the interaction between SCC’s chip and the Prebate encoder wheel. When remanufacturing any brand Non-Return (Non-Prebate) cartridges the SCC chip (L5CHIP) WILL give toner low indication. This is due to the interaction between SCC’s chip and the Non-Prebate encoder wheel. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Federal Court in Kentucky has ruled that the IBM® Return (Prebate) cartridges, like the Non-Return (Non-Prebate) cartridges are sold free of any patent restrictions and therefore they now may be freely remanufactured. For E320 MICR applications (Source Technologies® 9116) SCC recommends the dedicated S9116CHIP-M5C MICR chip.
