Info Tech Specs Products Tech Docs Engine Compatibility

Reference Info
At the time of release in March 2003 the ML-1510, ML-1710 and ML-1750 were the world’s smallest cassette based printers at about 20-30% smaller than most other lasers (about 5-10% larger than a decent sized inkjet).

There are 2 multifunction machines based on the ML1710 print engine. The Samsung SCX-4016 & Samsung SCX-4216F (capable of faxing). MFPs use the same cartridge as the ML1710, with the main difference being the fuse located in the front of the cartridge (for MFP version). This Fuse must be replaced each time the MFP’s cartridge is remanufactured to reset the counter. There is a spot for the fuse on the ML-1750, but it is not used.

Aimed at the entry-level laser category, Samsung’s compact ML-1510/1710/1750s are ideal for personal and home-office use, although it is noted to produce poor quality graphics prints. It is not meant to be a photo printer, but more of an everyday workhorse.

Printers ship with a 1,000-page starter cartridge, with replacement cartridges OEM rated at 3,000-pages. The cartridges have no drum shutter, leaving the drum exposed. Four cartridge clips hold the cartridge together, and the PCR has a cleaning brush assembly.

Static Control offers several components for the ML-1510/1710/1750, SCX-4016 and SCX-4216F cartridges, all fully qualified in our Imaging test labs.
