Reference Info Initial Report from Static’s Laboratories In July 2004, Samsung® announced the release of its newest family of monochrome laser printers, the ML-2250, ML-2251N, ML-2251NP, and ML-2252W. All other printer features are identical. This printer family features an especially small footprint, an attractive, smudge-resistant, gloss case finish, and a contemporary industrial look that distinguishes it from the competition. These printers offer 16 MB internal RAM, can be upgraded to a total capacity of 144 MB RAM, and provide standard print quality of 2400 dpi (1200x1200). The Samsung engine is also utilized in the DellTM Multifunction Laser Printer 1600n, offered earlier this year. Targeted towards small to medium sized businesses, these printers are priced competitively, starting at a suggested retail of just $229. All models offer 22 ppm and up to a 30,000 monthly duty cycle. Consumables Samsung is offering one cartridge option with a standard yield of 5000. This cartridge is similar to the high capacity option offered in the Dell 1600n.
